Our Communication/Austel products are manufactured from medium duty (MD) solid wall conduit. The conduit is extruded to meet Australian Standards AS2053.1.

We do not use ‘foam core’ or ‘sandwich’ conduit – solid wall conduit has superior strength & is mandatory for many utility companies. Hauling cable around a bend causes friction on the inside wall – it can wear through the PVC layer on foam core conduit exposing the filling material. Solid wall conduit does not have this issue.

Please note that Communication/Austel conduit sizes are different to Telstra but have similar names.
